Audition is a fragrance that captures the haunting allure of Ryu Murakami’s world, a blend of sweetness and danger where nothing is as it seems.
The opening greets the senses with raspberry and honey, their classical sweetness immediately captivating yet subtly disarming. Beneath this charm, tobacco absolute weaves with smoky clove and warm cinnamon, creating a slow-burning tension that simmers beneath the surface.
As the scent evolves, vanilla absolute and tonka bean absolute add a creamy softness, layered with the bitter, gourmand edge of cacao. Orris butter casts a powdery veil of mystery, suggesting hidden depths ready to be discovered. Dried fruit and heliotrope intensify the sweetness, while silver ambergris adds a glistening, piercing clarity.
