Scent Grade (“Scent Grade,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an independent retailer of fragrance, beauty, skincare, cosmetic, personal care, home fragrance, and related products manufactured by third-party brands.
Unless expressly identified otherwise, Scent Grade is not the manufacturer, formulator, laboratory, or developer of the products sold through our website or retail locations. Products are manufactured, formulated, packaged, labeled, tested, and accompanied by usage instructions and warnings determined by their respective manufacturers.
Where Scent Grade is an authorized retailer of a brand, such authorization relates to our retail sale of that brand’s products and does not make Scent Grade the manufacturer or formulator of those products.
All brand names, product names, logos, trademarks, packaging, imagery, and other intellectual property associated with third-party products are owned by their respective owners. The sale or display of a third-party product does not transfer ownership of that intellectual property to Scent Grade.
1. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY AND SAFE USE
Beauty, fragrance, skincare, cosmetic, personal care, and home fragrance products may contain ingredients capable of causing irritation, sensitivity, allergic reactions, or other adverse reactions in certain individuals.
Before using any product purchased from Scent Grade, you should:
* Carefully read the entire product label, ingredient list, packaging, instructions, precautions, and warnings provided by the manufacturer.
* Use the product only for its intended purpose and strictly according to the manufacturer’s directions.
* Review the ingredients before use if you have known allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions, respiratory sensitivities, or previous reactions to cosmetics, fragrances, essential oils, or similar products.
* Avoid applying fragrance, cosmetics, or skincare products to irritated, inflamed, injured, broken, burned, or otherwise compromised skin unless the manufacturer specifically states that the product is appropriate for such use.
* Avoid direct contact with the eyes and surrounding eye area unless the product is specifically designed for use in that area.
* Do not ingest products intended for external use.
* Keep products out of the reach of children and pets unless specifically designed and labeled for their use.
* Follow all manufacturer instructions concerning storage, temperature, sunlight, ventilation, and flammability.
For fragrance products in particular, do not spray directly into the eyes, face, mouth, or onto irritated or broken skin. Avoid inhaling concentrated spray directly. Many alcohol-based fragrance products are flammable and should be kept away from flames, sparks, heat sources, and other sources of ignition.
2. ALLERGIES, SENSITIVITIES AND ADVERSE REACTIONS
Individual reactions to beauty and fragrance products can vary significantly. A product that is safely used by one individual may cause an allergic reaction, irritation, sensitivity, rash, redness, itching, burning, swelling, respiratory discomfort, headache, or another adverse reaction in another individual.
Scent Grade cannot determine whether a particular ingredient or product is appropriate for your individual skin type, allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, or other personal circumstances.
If you have a known allergy, sensitive skin, a medical condition, or concerns regarding a particular ingredient, consult an appropriate licensed healthcare professional before using the product.
If irritation, redness, burning, swelling, difficulty breathing, rash, or another unexpected reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately and seek appropriate medical attention when necessary.
For a severe or potentially life-threatening reaction, seek emergency medical assistance immediately.
3. INGREDIENT INFORMATION
Ingredient lists, product descriptions, claims, directions, precautions, and other product information appearing on Scent Grade’s website may be supplied by manufacturers, distributors, vendors, or other third parties.
Although Scent Grade makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate product information, manufacturers may reformulate products, modify ingredients, change packaging, revise warnings, or update product specifications without prior notice to Scent Grade.
Accordingly, information displayed on our website should not be used as a substitute for the information appearing on the physical product packaging.
Always review the actual product label and packaging before using a product.
If the information displayed on Scent Grade’s website differs from the information appearing on the product itself, follow the manufacturer’s current labeling, directions, precautions, and warnings appearing on the product.
Customers with allergies or sensitivities should independently verify ingredients before use.

Information provided by Scent Grade through our website, product descriptions, customer service representatives, social media, marketing materials, emails, retail employees, or other communications is provided for general informational and retail purposes only.
Scent Grade does not provide medical, dermatological, pharmaceutical, or other healthcare advice.
Nothing provided by Scent Grade should be interpreted as diagnosing, treating, curing, mitigating, or preventing any disease, medical condition, allergy, or health condition.
Statements concerning products have not necessarily been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration unless otherwise expressly required or stated by applicable law.

5. THIRD-PARTY PRODUCTS
Products sold by Scent Grade are generally manufactured by independent third-party brands.
Scent Grade does not control and cannot independently guarantee every aspect of a manufacturer’s:
* formulation;
* ingredients;
* manufacturing process;
* product testing;
* allergen profile;
* product performance;
* individual compatibility;
* manufacturer claims; or
* changes to formulas, packaging, instructions, or warnings.
Questions regarding a particular formulation, ingredient, manufacturing process, or manufacturer-specific safety concern should be directed to the applicable manufacturer.
Nothing in this section is intended to waive or limit any responsibility that Scent Grade may have under applicable law.
6. PRODUCT RESULTS
Product performance and individual results vary.
Any descriptions, reviews, photographs, testimonials, recommendations, or other statements concerning expected product performance are not guarantees that a customer will achieve the same result.
Scent Grade makes no guarantee that any fragrance, cosmetic, beauty, skincare, or personal care product will be suitable for every person or will produce any particular result.
7. PRODUCT MISUSE
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Scent Grade is not responsible for injury, damage, loss, or adverse consequences resulting from:
* use contrary to manufacturer instructions;
* failure to follow product warnings or precautions;
* use on irritated, damaged, broken, or otherwise compromised skin contrary to product instructions;
* intentional misuse;
* ingestion of products intended for external use;
* improper storage;
* exposure to excessive heat or flame;
* modification, dilution, combination, alteration, or repackaging of a product by the customer or another third party after purchase;
* use after a product’s applicable expiration or recommended period after opening;
* continued use after an adverse reaction becomes apparent; or
* use of a product for a purpose for which it was not designed.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Scent Grade and its parent companies, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the improper use, misuse, or unauthorized alteration of a third-party product purchased through Scent Grade.
Nothing contained in this Disclaimer is intended to exclude, restrict, or waive any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable federal, state, or local law.
Nothing in this Disclaimer limits any rights or remedies that a consumer may have that cannot legally be waived.
9. MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES AND CLAIMS
Any manufacturer’s warranty, product guarantee, safety claim, efficacy claim, or other representation regarding a third-party product is made by the applicable manufacturer and is subject to that manufacturer’s applicable terms and conditions.
Scent Grade does not independently make or adopt a manufacturer’s product-specific health, medical, therapeutic, safety, or efficacy representations unless Scent Grade expressly states otherwise in writing.
Where appropriate, Scent Grade may assist customers in identifying or contacting the applicable manufacturer regarding product-specific questions or concerns.
10. PRODUCT AUTHENTICITY AND BRAND RELATIONSHIPS
Scent Grade sells genuine products sourced through its applicable brand, distributor, vendor, or authorized supply relationships.
Scent Grade’s relationship with individual brands may vary. Where Scent Grade identifies itself as an “Authorized Retailer,” “Official Retailer,” “Authorized Stockist,” or similar designation for a particular brand, that designation applies only to brands for which Scent Grade currently maintains the applicable authorization.
The presence of a brand or product on the Scent Grade website should not, by itself, be interpreted as establishing sponsorship, endorsement, agency, partnership, joint venture, or another relationship beyond the applicable retail or supply relationship.
11. CHILDREN
Unless specifically formulated and labeled by the manufacturer for use by children, fragrance, cosmetic, skincare, personal care, and similar products should be kept out of the reach of children.
Adult supervision should be used whenever appropriate.
Scent Grade does not represent that a product is suitable for use by a child unless such suitability is expressly stated by the manufacturer.
12. ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By purchasing and/or using a product from Scent Grade, you acknowledge that:
1. you are responsible for reading the manufacturer’s instructions, ingredients, precautions, and warnings before use;
2. beauty and fragrance products may cause different reactions in different individuals;
3. Scent Grade cannot determine whether a third-party product or ingredient is appropriate for your individual circumstances;
4. Scent Grade is generally the retailer and not the manufacturer or formulator of third-party products; and
5. you are responsible for using products appropriately and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
QUESTIONS OR PRODUCT CONCERNS
If you receive a product that appears damaged, defective, contaminated, altered, incorrectly labeled, or otherwise unsafe to use, do not use the product.
Please contact Scent Grade Customer Support promptly and retain the product, packaging, lot/batch information, photographs, and any other relevant information so the matter can be reviewed.
